An Individual Learning Plan will be designed for your needs

●  You will be assigned a Personal Tutor and a Progress Tutor who specifically look after your pastoral and course requirements

●  You will work with the latest industry tooling as used by Bench Joinery specialists including Blum, Festool, Hitachi, Maple, Stanley & Felder.

●  On your course you will experience Industry talks, Industry visits and compete in various Skills Competitions

●  You will be encouraged to complete a C.V. and apply for Tameside College Apprenticeships within your chosen specialism and gain valuable work skills from work-experience placements.

Being a Kitchen Bedroom & Bathroom Fitter is an exciting and challenging career. The course will combine core skills such as communication, organisation, planning as well as practical skills. The course will give you the knowledge and skills to progress into Industry or a higher level of course.
Learners must have;

●  Minimum of a grade 4 in English & Maths or progression from a level 1 construction or services qualification

●  Successful interview with a Carpenter or Joinery tutor

●  A genuine interest in the subject

●  Good communication skills

●  A hardworking approach towards the industry
Assessment is ongoing throughout the duration of the course. We’ll ask you to complete practical assessments and written tests and develop a detailed portfolio to confirm knowledge and skills in each learner outcome
